Penny qualified as a solicitor in 1981 having completed a history degree at Warwick University in 1976 and a Training Contract/Articles in Grays Inn, London. She began working for the previous practice, Sandoms, at their Peckham office in 1982 in the conveyancing department with primary responsibility for residential conveyancing. Penny was soon promoted to salaried partner before taking a career sabbatical for 15 years to raise her family.
In 2002 Penny wrote to Nick asking if he would give her a reference as she wanted to return to work – he said that he would do better than that and gave her a job! She became a partner again when a previous partner left and the firm relocated to Sanderstead.
Penny has continued to work in her field of conveyancing, dealing with sales and purchases of residential property including lease extensions, purchase and sale of properties at auction and repossessed properties. She has also excelled in representing clients in associated company purchases.
In her spare time Penny enjoys reading, socialising with friends and family visits to the theatre – and walking and camping trips, weather permitting!
